The upcoming 2nd EU-Japan EPA Forum, May, 2019 will be a 2-day EU-wide event focusing on the EPA-commercialisation.
The 1st EU-Japan EPA Forum held on April 12, 2018 at the Stock Exchange in Copenhagen was chaired by Sofie Nordstrom, Event Director and moderated by Chris Clague, Managing Editor, Asia & Global Editorial Lead, Trade and Globalisation from The Economist Intelligence Unit.
The programme consisted of dynamic keynote speeches and expertly moderated panel debates, focusing on the landscape for trade and investments in the key industry and service sectors impacted by the EPA. Speakers included leaders such as EU-Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmström, and Japan’s former Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Yoichi Suzuki, as well as prominent business executives.
By bringing together European and Japanese stakeholders, we seek to reach new levels of insights on the prospects of the EU-Japan EPA and its impact for companies operating globally with the objective of supporting the business community in better understanding and unlocking the commercial opportunities arising under the EPA.
